Harrogate Rugby Club is sad to announce that Chris Nunn, aged 71, died on Tuesday 5th September, at his home in Harrogate.

His warmth, kindness, and unwavering support touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. As a husband to Susie, a father to Holly, Oliver, Marcus, and Henry, and a cherished grandfather to his two little ones, Chris's love and devotion knew no bounds.
Chris was a lifelong supporter and member of the Harrogate Rugby Union Football Club, where his passion for the sport remained steadfast. He could often be found at our Annual Dinners and Golf Days, sharing his love for rugby with fellow enthusiasts.
He served as Club Treasurer from 2012-2017,and in March 2015 saw the start of the move from Claro Road to Rudding Lane. Chris was very involved with the finances of the project.

One of Chris's most remarkable qualities was his boundless compassion. He had a way of making you feel heard, understood, and valued. He was never too busy to lend an ear or offer a helping hand. His generosity knew no bounds, and he touched the lives of those around him in countless ways.
Chris's sense of humour , although dry, was infectious. He had a unique ability to bring laughter to most situations.. His quick wit made every interaction with him an occasion to remember. He approached challenges with a calmness and thoughtfulness that inspired those around him. His advice was cherished and sought after, a testament to the profound impact he had on those who knew him.
Chris's love for rugby was nurtured at Cundall Manor, where he not only played for the school but also rose to become Head Boy, a role that showcased his leadership qualities from an early age. He continued his education at Rugby School, where he further honed his talents both on and off the field. Afterward, he embarked on his professional journey, studying for his articles in pre-decimalization times with KPMG. In the early seventies, Chris's dedication and hard work paid off when he qualified as an FCA, marking a significant achievement in his career.
Chris is survived by his loving brother, Richard, who shares in the loss of this remarkable man.
He had a positive personality and would often advise others to "crack on" in times of difficulty, a testament to his resilience and belief in the strength of the human spirit.
One cannot talk about Chris without mentioning his love for Scuba Diving, Shooting and Skiing, It was in these passions that he found solace and shared moments of pure joy with his family and friends.. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his dedication to his pursuits was truly admirable.
